Hello all.
By now you are all wondering what is the point in keep track of this map, losing interest.
Well today i come to you with a first glance of the upcoming -Pet System-
I shall keep you update with more glances of the update as it comes towards the release

Current Features
  • Point system works with new pet system, this includes upgrades to stats.
  • Evolution tree is setup, Tiers 1 -5
  • Able to choose form a wide range of aliens.


We are not reveling the whole of the system, as we want to keep it a surprise,
but instead i shall post glances.

KK soooo it's my turn to write about this now :D and I will explain and summarize whatever Chris states in the Spoilers if he doesnt explain it haha

So, how the pet system works now is that your pet evolves based on your STATS (STR/AGI/INT)

There will be two different books

1 to gain Abilities
1 to gain Stats

Each time your pet levels, you gain 1 stat point, which can be allocated in STR or AGI or INT

So here's a little spoiler

Name of unit : Slime (Basics of Evolution)
Tier - (1) [Base of the System]
Damage - (7-10)
Attack speed - Fast
Model - Slime


Skills:

1. Sludge Armour - For every hit the Slime takes, reduce damage taken by X for every 1 MP consume (higher the level the slime gets to, the stronger the ability gets, this ability can be turned ON and OFF)

Level 1: 4 damage/1 MP (learnt as level 1 slime)
Level 2:10 damage/1 MP (learnt as level 4 slime)


2. Recuperable Abilities - The slime has the ability to recover health over amounts of time if needed (recover hp by using 1 mana every 2 seconds,this ability can also be turned ON and OFF at no mana cost)

Level 1: 6 HP 1 mana cost (learnt as level 2 slime)
Level 2: 10 HP 1 mana cost (learnt as level 5 slime)


3. Sticky Skin - The slime has the passive ability where the slime secretes a liquid from its pores that slows down any melee attackers attack speed that hit the slime.
Learnt as level 3 slime

Level 1(Only 1 level of this ability): Decrease the attackspeed of the melee enemy unit by one level after striking the pet ONCE
(Very Fast>Fast>Average>Slow>Very Slow)
Duration of 4 Seconds

This is the first pet that you will have for the first 8 levels (level of the pet), it may not seem that much and seem pretty much harmless but its at a beginning stage where surviving is more important than anything else.

After leveling and leveling, the pet (Slime) begins to adapt to its surroundings and situations and evolve into a more specialized pet to deal with these hazards. Just because the pet's main attribute stat is Strength doesn't mean you have to align him with Strength, you can go separate paths and have seemingly endless choices.

20+ Pets. Will you find them all?

Strength: To destroy your foes recklessly but obliterate them
Agility: To incapacitate the enemy with quick strikes but flee when needed
Intelligence: To be able to support your allies but keep yourself alive as well from the rear
Hybrid(?): To not master One? But to be capable to do most of Two?

So, question people have been asking a lot

When will the new pet system be released?

Well the thing is, Chris and I like to pace ourselves and take our time. If we dont spend our love and time on the pet system, things can go wrong and bad turns to worst. Most of the time spent is figuring out how to we should approach different pets, how they would work in certain scenarios, bug fixing, plan and creations and of course. How to break our own system.

Here's a picture of what happen when Chris and I were having our 2nd test run on the system in a real case scenario

If you notice in the picture, a Zergling is practically at full health(the great beam of Bright Yellow Light), is getting hit by the Mother Hydralisk and 6 Serpent Wards. I also shouldve screenshot the Zergling taking no damage by volcano as well. So anyways.

If we dont spend time and take our time, we wont be able to check and find things that are badddd =P

We are making progress on the current spells,
Yesterday we made progress on getting 4 spells done, With the help of Haxel,
i shall keep you all updated with progress.

The Pet System sounded nice!!
So my englisch isn't very well and so i've got one question: when i partition the stat points on different way, does the pet evolves in different ways??

I will answer questions the best I can

@Ruffy, Yes, if you put points into str, you go str way, you put points into agi, it go agi way, but you dont have to put all points into one stat as it takes the stat with the highest amount as the main stat

This allows the user to be able to have a more flexible choice of builds, allowing completely different techniques, depending on the type of game you are going for.
