Survival

Hi

i'm writing this message in order to inform you about the current status of survival. As many of you know, I have taken over the map once from Masa1 (to be exact, from ducke1, who took it over from Masa1).
That was almost 3 years ago. A lot happened in this span of time. Not only in the world of survival (such as updates, betas, one or two new versions and last but not least organised pro-games; thanks to darkfunifuteur for his great efforts, btw) but also in my life.
In this 3 years, the survival community, that was once near a status of being dead, got a bit more lively. I hope, I contributed to this.

But lately, the project got stuck. the reasons, and I'm honest to you, on the one hand were technically (bugs in the mapm that are hard to fix. i even assume, they were caused by external sources, such as the mapprotector, corrupting all files) and mentally (lack of motivation, often due to the technical problems).

In the last 1 1/2 years I had to make a decision. Everyday, the decision had to be made, but I postponed it. Everyday in the last 18 months. On some days, the decision to postpone it was pretty easy, on others it was an inner struggle.
And today, i got the impulse to make a (maybe?) final decision. And here I stand (rather sit...hehe), writting this message to you so you understand. You probably won't right now. If you seek for answers, the PM box is always open.

Anyway, back to topic: After postponing this decision for such a long time, i will make a decision now. most of you will certainly dislike it.
Here it is: I offcially announce the end of Survival. I won't continue this project any longer. i simply don't have the time and the motivation. postponing a decision such as this was a bad idea, I know. espcially, after putting some money into a webspace and an own domain, which will now be unused.

I cannot expect anything from you. Neither mercy nor happy faces. I know that.

And we all know, that I cannot say: "Don't worry, Oneday, all will turn good and Survival will live again". This would be too much for now.
